A few weeks ago, the PGK and SPE-NL again hosted their sun-laden Summer BBQ at Oscar in Scheveningen with more than 100 attendees! We started our evening with drinks and conversations, meeting up with friends and new people alike. This was followed by a presentation by Lucia van Geuns (HCSS), providing valuable insights into the evolving geopolitical landscape and its implications for energy markets, security, and the energy transition. This was followed up by a panel discussion on this topic, hosted by Femke Perlot-Hogeveen (Gotsjetûk), joined by Lucia van Geuns (HCSS), Rene Peters (TNO, technological development), and Chris de Ruyter van Steveninck (One Dyas). Together, they shared their perspectives on how domestic gas production could actually help in speeding up the energy transition in the Netherlands whilst reducing geopolitical dependance.
Following the formal program, we returned to enjoying drinks and great food whilst networking and enjoying the summer evening. We would like to thank everyone that joined us, and helped to make this evening another memorable edition of the SPE-PGK summer BBQ. Your continued support is what makes events like this not only possible, but exceptional. See you next year!
