Michel Hamers (Petrogas) will talk about:
Birgitta Field (UK): a gas condensate development by Petrogas
Abstract
Petrogas North Sea, a subsidiary of Petrogas LLC based in Oman, is looking to develop the Birgitta gas condensate discovery in the UK Central Graben area.
A discovery from 1984, the Triassic Skagerrak Formation was appraised in 2022 in order to confirm the presence of gas condensate in the Eastern Block – to justify the economics of a 2 well development.
This talk will take you through the regional geological setting of the Triassic Skagerrak, the position of Birgitta in the petroleum system, its data and associated uncertainties and how these uncertainties were addressed by drilling an appraisal well in 2022.
