PGK Geological Excursion to Cyprus

Join us for an unforgettable five-and-a-half-day geological excursion to Cyprus from the 27th of September to 4th October 2026! Excursion dates and duration are tentative and subject to change. Registrations will begin shortly.

This broad, expertly guided field trip offers something for everyone, with wide appeal across varying geological disciplines. Participants will explore world-class outcrops showcasing spectacular sections of the Earth’s crust and upper mantle, including exposures of the mantle–Moho transition, upper oceanic crust, marine sediments, tectonic mélange, transform faults, and radiolarites.

Beyond the geology, the excursion also highlights Cyprus’s rich archaeological and cultural heritage, with dedicated stops to experience the island’s fascinating history and landscapes.
