About the panel discussion host: Femke Perlot-Hogeveen
Over 20 years of experience in policy advice, research, communication, concept development and external relations in oil, gas, energy and CCS. I am comfortable with pioneering and have a track record – in industry, government and think-tank – of numerous successfully launched concepts, both independently and with partners. I am driven by a desire to connect the right people to the right ideas and to create something of lasting value.
About the panel member: Rene Peters
I love to cross borders. Between research, technology and innovation towards implementation in industry within my current role in TNO on energy transition, but also between various sectors, oil and gas and renewable energy, offshore energy, system integration. Working together with key stakeholders from industry and public organizations or NGO’s to make energy transition real, acceptable, cost effective and efficient. Experienced Research Manager, Account Manager, Scientist and Advisor with a demonstrated history of working in the research industry and knowledge institutes. Skilled in Gas technology, Research and Development (R&D), Physics, Fluid Dynamics, Offshore Energy, and Business Development. Like to communicate in the media about innovation, bridging the gap with the broader community that is effected by the energy transition in daily life. Scientific background in applied physics from Technical University Eindhoven, so rational thinker, but aware of emotional aspects that impact decision makers. And of course crossing borders globally to learn about other cultures, people and nature is inspiring for me.
About the panel member: Chris de Ruyter van Steveninck
Chris is a reservoir engineer, holding an MSc degree from Delft University of Technology. He started his career in various financial roles with ABN AMRO. In 2008 he returned to work in the oil & gas industry in various management roles. Chris joined Oranje-Nassau Energie B.V. (ONE) as CFO in August 2012. After the merger of ONE with Dyas in 2019, Chris continued his CFO role in ONE-Dyas. In 2020 he took over the helm as CEO of ONE-Dyas, also remaining in charge of the finance team. For Chris, not a single year at ONE and ONE-Dyas has been the same: the company has grown, both in assets, operating activities and number of people. Exiting times, in which the entrepreneurial way of working of ONE-Dyas can make the difference. The empowered and flat organisation fits Chris very well. He thrives on working together to achieve common goals, with the enthusiasm and ambition that characterise both ONE-Dyas and Chris.
