Abstract
The State Supervision of Mines supervises mining activities in the Netherlands, including salt solution mining and storage of gas and liquid in salt caverns. After an introduction to the work of State Supervision, we will discuss in this talk the past, the present and a possible future of the utilisation of this unique rock type in the Dutch subsurface.
